In Chromatic Orbs; an estimate from Siveran's 3.29 research.

How the numbers work

  1. 1Each socket's colour chances come from the item's Str, Dex and Int requirements.
  2. 2Since 3.29 a socket can roll white. It's likelier on low item levels and less likely with quality; with every socket white, a Chromatic colours the first one.
  3. 3A Chromatic never gives the same colours in the same order twice in a row, and the calculator counts that. Older calculators treat one socket as always coloured, which overstates a one-colour target on low-level items: 65% per try where 228 real Chromatics gave 25%.
  4. 4The bench colours the first 2, 3 or 4 sockets for 5, 20 or 75 Chromatics and rolls the rest.
  5. 5The white-socket chance is fitted to 2,835 items copied in the game after Chromatics, collected by Siveran. There's no second source for it, so treat every number as an estimate.

The same numbers, inside the app

Exiled Bench's Sockets page clicks the Chromatics or Jeweller's for you until the sockets match. This table joins it in the next update, which installs itself. See what the app does in PoE 1.
