Guide coverage
A complete Onslaught route, with CDR and spectre donor alternatives

These boots are a distinct craft from rolling a Tailwind donor. Tailwind is a Hunter suffix; Onslaught is a Redeemer suffix; Elusive is a Redeemer prefix. We elevate the first two on separate items, merge them, then make the prefixes. The route follows the boots craft in FGKorbyn21's Cyclone Slayer build guide.

A completed craft on Reddit corroborates separate elevation, Awakener merging and later Elusive/veiled movement speed. It uses different preparation choices and retains the Redeemer base. This guide retains the Hunter base, so the click order is correspondingly different.

Choose the second influence

Prepare the Hunter Tailwind base once, then choose a donor for the build. These are alternatives for the second influence:

PartnerDonor and normal tierWhat changes after merging
Onslaught on killRedeemer, ilvl 80+ for the highest normal tierFollow the full Elusive finish below.
Cooldown recoveryShaper or Crusader, ilvl 80+ for the highest normal tierFinish movement speed and life/defences; no Redeemer Elusive.
Raise Spectre levelsElder, ilvl 75+ for +1; elevate to +2Finish movement speed and life/defences; no Redeemer Elusive.

These partners and Tailwind are suffixes, so a suffix lock protects the pair during compatible prefix work. Elusive is a prefix: merging an Elusive donor directly needs a different finishing plan because a suffix lock alone will not protect it. The Elder mod grants Raise Spectre gem levels, not two additional maximum spectres. See the boot pool, Shaper pool and spectre modifier.

For CDR or spectre donors, prepare the highest normal target and a second influenced mod, elevate if required, then leave only the desired influenced mod before merging. Recheck that donor's pool; the Redeemer Critical-reforge recipe below is specific to Redeemer. Compare an isolated donor, an already elevated donor and the full preparation cost on trade in your league. The cheapest choice changes with supply; no historical budget is a reliable price quote.

Choose the retained boots before buying donors

  • Retained Hunter base: ilvl 86+. Fugitive Boots suit a build that values their chaos-resistance implicit; Two-Toned Boots suit one that needs their elemental resistance. Choose an evasion or ES base when those defences matter more. These influence boots cannot also use Eldritch implicits.
  • Destroyed Redeemer donor: ilvl 80+, which unlocks the highest normal Onslaught tier. Its defence base and quality need not match the retained boots. A 75 donor can roll a lower Onslaught tier, but that is not the top-tier elevation goal here.
  • Use single-influence, non-corrupted, non-fractured bases. Start with existing influence or apply the corresponding influence Exalted Orb to an eligible rare item with room for a new modifier. Inspect the orb requirements first.

Current modifier data confirms Tailwind at 75, top normal Onslaught at 80 and natural 35% movement speed at 86. A displayed elevated mod's zero natural spawn weight is not permission to Alt-roll it, nor a requirement to buy that displayed level for ordinary elevation. The retained base matters even when you intend to unveil movement speed: 86 preserves the top natural option too.

Prepare and elevate the Hunter suffix

Use Exiled Bench's Items → Boots → Magic → On my cursor → Alt + Aug, the Hunter Tailwind entry and Any one. Use Single or a calibrated stash batch, size 2 × 2, the actual count and a budgeted Safety limit. For the retained-item batch, enable an 86+ filter. Arm, right-click Alterations without Shift and start.

For this imprint route, make a magic item carrying Tailwind with an empty prefix. If a random prefix is present, removing it with an ordinary Annul can also remove Tailwind; accept that preparation risk or reroll. Once isolated:

  1. Add Suffixes Cannot Be Changed, which occupies the prefix slot, then make a magic-item imprint. With Tailwind as the sole mod, a Wild Bristle Matron can force this lock because the magic item's suffix slot is full; compare its current cost with the bench. See the eligibility checklist. In 3.29 the imprint beast is Craicic Croaker, formerly Craicic Chimeral. You cannot imprint these boots after they become rare.
  2. Apply Regal. The app can automate this single conversion: on a separate approved magic-item setup use From my stash, Regal to Rare, Add Exalts, Max exalts 0, Annuls 0, pre-Regal Augmentation off. Keep the target and stop after the conversion; do not use a restart loop on the saved craft.
  3. If needed, use Harvest reforge Physical while the suffix lock is present, then inspect the complete item. It is a way to add another Hunter mod. The acceptance condition is Tailwind plus exactly one other influenced mod, not merely “a Physical roll happened”. A Regal or reforge can produce additional influenced mods.
  4. If Regal already supplied exactly the second influenced mod and you skipped Harvest, remove the crafted suffix lock at the bench. Harvest reforge consumes that lock; Regal does not. No metamod may protect Tailwind at the elevation checkpoint. With exactly two influenced mods, apply Orb of Dominance. If Tailwind is removed, restore the imprint, make a new imprint, and repeat. The imprint is consumed when restored. An already-elevated Tailwind is the successful checkpoint.

Before merging, remove any other influenced mods safely or restart the preparation. If you need to clear prefixes after elevation, craft Suffixes Cannot Be Changed → Scour; the lock is consumed and the suffixes survive. Check that the desired Tailwind is the only influenced mod left.

Prepare and elevate the Redeemer suffix

Alt/Aug for T1 Onslaught on kill, using the Redeemer pool and an 80+ filter. You can also do this on a rare with reforges; a magic checkpoint keeps the same imprint/retry structure as above:

  1. Isolate Onslaught with an empty prefix, craft Suffixes Cannot Be Changed and imprint.
  2. Regal, then use Harvest reforge Critical with the lock present to add Elusive. Inspect for T1 Onslaught + Elusive and no other influenced mod. Elusive is the relevant Critical-tagged Redeemer boot prefix; Tailwind has no Critical crafting tag.
  3. Use Dominance to seek elevated Onslaught. If it is lost, restore and replace the imprint before retrying. If it survives elevated, the sacrificial influenced mod is removed.

Starting from a rolled T1 Onslaught means you don't rely on a reforge landing it; no reforge guarantees Onslaught. Dominance does not pick the mod you want to elevate. The final donor must have elevated Onslaught as its only influenced mod.

Merge in the correct order

Right-click Awakener's Orb, click the Redeemer donor first, then the Hunter ilvl-86 retained boots second. The first item is destroyed; the second supplies the retained base and item level. Both wanted suffixes transfer only when they are the selected influenced mods. Other explicit mods are rerolled, so a good third suffix is not guaranteed.

Inspect the result for both elevated suffixes and at least one open prefix, needed to bench the suffix lock. If all prefixes are full, stop and assess recovery. An ordinary Annul may remove an elevated suffix; an unprotected Scour destroys the craft. The original imprint does not restore a later double-influence item to a completed double-influence state.

Optional: preview the merge before committing

The Craicic Croaker + The Black Mórrigan magic-item lock recipe still appears in the current beast data. It applies a Hinekora's Lock effect to an eligible magic retained base. To return elevated Tailwind to magic, suffix-lock and Scour only when Tailwind is the sole surviving suffix; inspect rarity and all influenced mods afterwards.

Preview with the actual donor you intend to consume, then inspect the full result, including a free prefix for the next lock. Hinekora's Lock previews currency use; changing the item removes the foresight. This guide does not assume that a preview made with a different donor or a non-elevated mod predicts your final merge. Budget beasts for retries separately. Exiled Bench does not automate this decision.

Add Elusive, then choose the movement-speed finish

Craft Suffixes Cannot Be Changed, then Harvest reforge Critical on the merged boots. Confirm that both elevated suffixes remain and Elusive is present. The reforge can add other prefixes or fill the item; it does not guarantee an open prefix or 35% movement speed. If you land acceptable natural movement speed and have space for your final life/defence craft, you can finish without a veil.

For the veiled movement-speed route, prepare Elusive as the only natural prefix, with space for the suffix lock and a veil. If unwanted prefixes exist, suffix lock → Scour → reapply lock → reforge Critical is the reset route; stop if a result has no room to apply the required lock.

Before Veiled Exalted Orb, you need three occupied suffixes to force the new veil onto prefixes. If the third suffix is absent, one deliberate option is to craft Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers as that suffix, then Suffixes Cannot Be Changed as a prefix. That costs an additional multimod craft. A suffix lock protects existing suffixes but does not prevent adding a new suffix into an empty slot.

Apply Veiled Exalt with the lock present. It removes a random eligible prefix and adds a veil:

  • Elusive survives, lock removed: unveil. Select an acceptable movement-speed option if offered; none is guaranteed. A compatible temporary prefix block can remove an unwanted unveil family, but cannot guarantee your preferred movement option.
  • Elusive removed: return to suffix-locked prefix preparation and reforge Critical, then retry the veil stage within your budget.
  • Unwanted unveil: decide whether the result is usable or clear the prefixes under a fresh suffix lock and repeat. An arbitrary extra Veiled Exalt is not a safe targeted replacement.

If you used the multimod suffix filler, remove the remaining crafted mods once it has served its purpose. With Elusive + movement speed and a free prefix, bench-craft life or the compatible defence option your build needs. Do not Exalt that slot first if the bench finish is your goal. The app can use ordinary Exalts, but they cannot aim life or perform Dominance/Awakener/bench choices for you.
