Medium Cluster Jewels: Automate Alt, Regal and Exalt
Choose a Chaos DoT medium cluster and automate Wicked Pall → Regal → Exalt for Flow of Life, with real app settings, an importable loadout and sources.
In this guide
- Goal
- Wicked Pall + Flow of Life on one rare medium cluster
- Base
- Chaos DoT enchant, 4/5 passives, ilvl 68–83 for this goal
- Method
- Wicked Pall → Regal → capped Exalts for Flow of Life → restart misses
- In the app
- Distinct Step-1/Step-2 targets, automatic Regal/Exalt and budgeted resets
- Checkpoint
- Check both notables and allocation; limit stops are not successes
- Guide coverage
- Worked automatic setup with real captures and importable loadouts
A two-notable medium cluster is a useful example of crafting in stages. Exiled Bench can run the Alteration → Regal → Exalt → restart sequence automatically. This example rolls Wicked Pall first, then seeks Flow of Life on a rare Chaos Damage over Time medium cluster. Choose these notables only if they fit your build.
Choose the enchant, passive count and item level
- Medium Cluster Jewel, with the enchant 12% increased Chaos Damage over Time. A different enchant has a different notable pool: changing explicit mods with Alterations does not change that enchant.
- 4 or 5 added passive skills, if your plan is to allocate both notables and the jewel socket. This SSF discussion explains why both counts can serve that goal. Check the actual allocation in your build before buying.
- Ilvl 68–83 is a useful range for this particular notable pair. PoEDB's medium-cluster data lists Wicked Pall at 50 and Flow of Life at 68, so 68 unlocks both. Staying below 84 excludes the top small-passive Damage over Time suffix; it does not guarantee either notable.
This is an intentional lower-ilvl finished base, unlike boots missing 35% movement speed or body armour missing top defence tiers. If your goal includes high-tier small-passive modifiers, check their requirements instead; don't reuse this range for every cluster. See choosing crafting bases.
Why the two stages need different targets
Wicked Pall and Flow of Life are both prefixes in this pool. A magic jewel has one prefix slot; Alt + Aug cannot make the completed pair. A Regal retains the magic mods, makes the jewel rare and adds one random mod. Exalts can add more while slots remain.
For this automatic recipe, put only Wicked Pall in Step 1 and only Flow of Life in Step 2. Step 2 checks mods outside the Step-1 list. Putting both notables in both lists would exclude the very bonus you need. You can reverse the two targets in a separate setup.
The medium-cluster crafting discussion corroborates the staged Alt → optional Aug → Regal route. It uses different targets. The Exalt allowance below is a configurable continuation of that method, not a sourced claim that it is the cheapest route.
Set up the automatic recipe in Exiled Bench
- Prepare the selected magic jewels in a calibrated stash tab. On Items, choose Cluster Jewel, Magic, From my stash, Alt + Aug, and Stash. For one jewel, use Single and capture its item slot.
- In Target mods → Mod DB, choose the correct medium-cluster pool and add Wicked Pall only. Leave Stop when → Any one. Set Augment → Until a hit; it can find the prefix on a suffix-only roll. The bonus-target path can proceed directly to Regal once the anchor hits.
- Enable Item level → 68–83, use item size 1 × 1 and set your actual count. Check enchant and passive count yourself; the level filter does not validate them.
- Open After the target → Bonus mod. Add Flow of Life only to Step 2 — success mods. Step 2 match → Any is sufficient for one target.
- Set Max exalts → 2, Stop when full → Prefix, Annuls → 0, and Max reset cycles → 10 for the example. These are spending choices, not expected costs. The Exalt cap is per attempt, reset cycles are per item, and Safety limit caps the run. Adjust all limits to your budget.
- In Setup, calibrate the required currency positions and the currency/rolling tab headers. Provide Alterations, Regals, Exalts, Scours and Transmutations, plus Augmentations for Alt + Aug. Keep the cursor empty, open the currency tab, then Arm and press your start key. The app picks its own orbs.

These are real app captures, not a completed in-game craft. Currency/tab calibration is deliberately unset because it belongs to your machine. The example uses 12 items and a 1,000-click Safety limit; change them before running.
What the app does after a hit
The app Regals the Wicked Pall jewel and checks for Flow of Life. If the Regal already landed it, the bonus goal is met and no Exalt is needed. Otherwise it adds up to two Exalts, checking after each. A jewel has only four explicit-mod slots; the open-slot check can end the Exalt stage earlier.
Prefix stopping cannot aim an Exalt. While a prefix slot is open, an Exalt may still add a suffix. The setting declines further slams once prefixes are full. If the target is still missing, this recipe Scours, Transmutes and tries again, subject to the limits. Scouring erases the unprotected explicit mods; use this loop on bases you intend to restart.
Inspect kept jewels for both notables, the enchant, passive count and build allocation. A safety stop or exhausted reset budget is not a successful craft. Compare the complete cycle with Chaos, Harvest or fossils for the exact base in Craft of Exile.
Import the recipe, or keep a first-stage checkpoint
Download the automatic Alt/Regal/Exalt loadout. Use Import in the app's loadout controls, then load the imported entry. It includes the distinct targets, caps, level filter and example batch settings. It does not include calibration coordinates or validate the enchant. Export/import and the anchor-only/complete-pair stopping checks were verified with the app's own code; no live currency was spent.
If you want to inspect every magic hit before making it rare, download the first-notable preparation loadout. That separate On my cursor setup stops on either notable. It leaves the Regal decision to you by choice; Regal and Exalt automation are available in the recipe above.
For other cluster goals, use the Enduring Composure small-armour recipe or the Feed / Fuel / Martial large-bow recipe. Their enchant, level range and magic-stage targets differ from this medium jewel.
