Getting Started with Exiled Bench: Your First Automated Craft

Exiled Bench automates the repetitive half of Path of Exile crafting. You pick a target, and it rolls until the item matches, then stops. This guide takes you from a fresh download to a small first run, then explains how to add more currencies. You can reopen the app's walkthrough from Help → Read the guide. It pairs with the setup guide; the controls below were checked against app 2.21.8.

1. Install

Start with an account, confirm your email and subscribe, then download the installer from your account dashboard. The app normally starts without administrator rights. If Path of Exile itself runs elevated, the app can offer to restart as administrator so Windows permits its input. If Windows requests elevation, check the file and source before accepting.

SmartScreen or antivirus warnings do not establish that a file is safe or that a detection is a false positive. Verify that you obtained the expected release from the official download flow. If in doubt, stop and contact support with the detection details before allowing or excluding the file.

2. Prepare the game

• Run Path of Exile in English or Russian, and pick the same language in the app under Settings → General → Language.
• Use windowed or borderless windowed mode.
• Turn on Advanced Mod Descriptions in the game's UI options. The app reads the tier the game prints on each mod. Without it, it has to fall back to a weaker read of the item text.

3. Activate

On first launch, paste the serial key from your account dashboard (format EB1-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). It binds to your machine. Accept the risk notice: automation can breach the game's Terms of Service, and it's worth reading the Safety page before you start.

4. Calibrate

Anything the app clicks needs its position set once:

• Stash and inventory grids: drag from one outside corner of the grid to the other, then line the drawn lines up with the game's. When they sit on each other, every cell is right. Arrow keys nudge (Shift for 10 px), Enter saves, Backspace redraws, Esc cancels. Next time it opens where you left it, so a check is just Enter.
• Your currency tab, if you'll use crafts that take orbs from your stash: open Calibrate orbs from the craft page, then Calibrate in currency setup. Check the frame against your open currency tab and save it; the app derives the orb positions from that frame.
• Fossils, Harvest, Tujen and the other utilities set their own positions on their own pages. Tujen's shelf is a frame to fit, like a stash tab.

Positions are saved. If you change monitor or resolution, the app tells you what needs redoing.

5. Set up the craft

Open the page for what you're rolling. The sidebar groups them into Roll by item (Items, Maps, Charts, Jewels, Flasks, Tinctures, Clusters), Roll by method (Fossils, Harvest, Implicits) and Utility (Sockets, Item Linking, Stacked Decks, Delirium Orbs, Scarab Prices, Expedition and more). On Items:

• Roll mode: roll to Magic or Rare. The currency comes from On my cursor (you hold the orb) or From my stash (the app takes its own orbs from your currency tab). Choose Single, Stash or Inventory.
• Target mods: open the Mod DB, pick the mod and the lowest tier you'd keep, and Add. Better tiers count too. Stop when is Any one (the first target wins), All of them (every target on one item), One of each (a target plus one mod from a second list) or Groups (any one complete combination).
• Safety limit: a run never goes past it, and it stops by itself if the item stops changing.

This craft sums up what Arm will do in one place. If a line isn't what you meant, change the setup first.

A small first run

Use a disposable magic ring, not an item you want to preserve. In Items, choose Magic, On my cursor, Single and Alterations. In the Mod DB, select the ring's base type, pick one ordinary maximum-life tier that its item level can roll, and use Any one. Set a small test budget, such as 20 in Safety limit.

This test is for checking the target, clipboard read and controls. Reaching the limit without finding the mod is a normal outcome; it does not prove the setup failed. Check the recorded rolls and target before increasing the budget. The test is complete when you have seen a successful item read and confirmed that pause and stop work.

6. Arm and roll

• On my cursor: press Arm, right-click (without pressing Shift) the orb stack in game, hover the item, then press your start key. The app holds Shift for you.
• From my stash: put the item in its slot, keep your cursor empty and the stash open on your currency tab, then Arm and press your start key.

The app rolls, reads each result from the clipboard, and stops when the item matches. Pause or stop any time with your hotkeys (rebind them in Settings). While it runs, Activity shows one row per roll with the tier the game printed, Finds lists every match, and Past crafts keeps one card per run.

Keep the game visible and watch the first run. If the click lands in the wrong place or the item cannot be read, stop and correct calibration or language settings before trying again.

7. Add Regal and Exalts only when the recipe needs them

With From my stash and Magic, After the target → Regal to Rare is a separate switch:

• Off: keep the matching item magic. No Regal, Exalts or bonus-mod stage follows.
• On: Regal the matching item to rare. Add Exalts then spends up to Max exalts; set it to 0 if you want to stop after the Regal. The allowance does not guarantee a full or valuable item.
• Bonus mod: pursue a different Step-2 target. A failed attempt can reset the craft and erase unprotected mods, so only use this with a planned recipe.

Check currency/tab calibration, Max exalts, Max reset cycles and Safety limit before arming. Keep Annuls 0 while learning. Flasks and tinctures stay magic and cannot use the Regal step.
