In this guide
Goal
Strong evasion/ES prefixes, then build-appropriate suppression and suffixes
Base
Matching ordinary Necrotic Armours, ilvl 86+
Method
Alt donors → two-prefix intermediates → three prefixes → Eldritch suffix work
In the app
Repeatable magic donor rolling; later finishing remains a separate setup
Checkpoint
Keep Eater dominant before every suffix-only Eldritch operation
Guide coverage
A practical armour recipe; mirror Breach transfer and historical cost charts excluded

The craft has two separate jobs: recombine strong defence prefixes, then use Eldritch currency to work suffixes without rerolling those prefixes. Independent post-3.26 player crafting reports describe the same sequence. Nothing here promises a time, a sale price or a success rate.

Use an endgame retained base

Choose Necrotic Armour, ilvl 86+, on both inputs. Its evasion/ES base supports the local defence families and natural suppression; current modifier data puts the top body-armour percentage defence and natural suppression tiers at 86. These are final-item bases, not low-level disposable Awakener donors.

Use ordinary non-corrupted, unfractured, uninfluenced, non-synthesised bases for this version. The finish needs Eldritch implicits. Do not add a synthesis step: ordinary synthesis-base production was removed in 3.29. Necrotic Armour's base data also lists its attribute requirements; plan how the character will equip it.

For a pure-ES build, Twilight Regalia may be appropriate instead, but it has a different local defence pool and cannot naturally roll suppression. Do not copy the Necrotic suppression goal to a pure-Int base. See the Dense-fossil pure-ES example for that alternative.

Prepare three donor families

Scroll sideways to see all columns.

PileWhat to select in Mod DB
AFlat local evasion and Energy Shield, the combined base-specific prefix
BIncreased evasion and Energy Shield
CIncreased evasion and Energy Shield with Stun and Block Recovery, one hybrid prefix

Do not confuse C with B just because both contain percentage defence. Check the full mod, affix family and target tier. The combined flat defence lines also count as one prefix.

Use Items → Body Armour, the Dex/Int base pool, Magic, On my cursor, Stash, Alt + Aug, Item level → 86+, and Any one of your chosen T1 donor entries. Use size 2 × 3, your batch count and a budgeted Safety limit. Calibrate the stash, Arm, right-click the Alteration stack without Shift and start. Separate the hits into A/B/C piles. The donor preparation guide covers the same app stage.

Leave the donors magic. Regal/Exalt automation exists, but random added prefixes are not needed for this simple recombination ladder. If a later stage explicitly needs a rare conversion, use a separate From my stash, Regal to Rare, Add Exalts / Max exalts 0 / Annuls 0 setup on the approved magic item, with pre-Regal Augmentation off. Don't put good rare intermediates back into an Alteration/reset batch.

Recombine to the prefix checkpoint

In Unpredictable Recombination, make A/B and A/C intermediates from distinct single-prefix donors, then combine those pairs to seek A/B/C. Matching Necrotic bases keep either selected base useful. Inspect tiers and all other prefixes before accepting a pair.

After a miss, recycle a useful single- or two-prefix output into the appropriate pile. Good intermediates should be saved; losing a target does not mean every surviving mod is worthless. A low-tier ordinary suffix craft can change the recombinator's gold/dust quote, but do not treat it as a guaranteed chance improvement. Post-3.26 recombinator research warns against transplanting the old exclusive/multimod filler recipe.

Stop when all three desired natural prefix families and acceptable tiers are present. The finished defence total still depends on the base roll, quality and numerical mod rolls. A fixed ES total does not follow from “three T1” alone.

Establish the correct Eldritch dominance

Apply an Eldritch Ichor so the Eater of Worlds is dominant. With only an Eater implicit, the direction is clear; if an Exarch implicit is present, the Eater tier must be stronger. Equal tiers do not establish dominance. Check the item's actual dominance before every operation, especially after changing implicits.

With Eater dominance:

With Exarch dominance they operate on prefixes instead. The choice of currency, as well as dominance, protects the prefix investment here; an ordinary Chaos or unprotected Scour would erase it. Ordinary Exalts are a separate case when all three prefix slots are genuinely full, but Eldritch suffix currency makes the intended side explicit.

Finish suppression and supporting stats

  1. Ensure the three desired prefixes are present on a rare item and Eater is dominant. If it is already rare, no Regal is needed.
  2. Use Eldritch Chaos to seek a suffix anchor, such as the suppression tier your build needs. Intelligence or resistance can be additional goals; do not automatically value chaos resistance for a CI character.
  3. If you have a keeper and an open suffix, consider bench-blocking an unwanted suffix family before an Eldritch Exalt. For example, a crafted resistance blocks that resistance family, not every resistance. Remove the temporary craft when appropriate.
  4. If the new suffix is bad, an Eldritch Annul can remove a suffix without touching the prefixes, but can also remove your good suppression/Int. Accept that risk or return to Eldritch Chaos. It does not choose the bad suffix.
  5. With two acceptable natural suffixes and a free slot, bench-craft the remaining resistance or attribute option your build needs. Check the groups and available unlocks first. You now have a usable finished item without chasing three perfect natural suffixes.

The app helps with donor batches and can automate ordinary Regal/Exalt sequences. Those ordinary-orb finishing loops are not this Eldritch Chaos/Annul/Exalt recipe. Keep dominance, temporary blocking crafts and each Eldritch finishing decision under inspection; the Eldritch guide explains the implicit setup.

Finish your chosen implicits while preserving the required dominance until explicit suffix crafting is done. Then handle quality, sockets and linking for the retained item. Don't reuse older socket-colour or six-link price advice without checking the current version.

Sources and verification

The sequence is a common community recipe. Independent source checks support the recipe's mechanics; they do not constitute a replicated current-league odds study or an executed in-game craft.
