Guide coverage
The +1 preparation stage, not a finished endgame amulet

+1 to Level of all Skill Gems raises every skill gem you use, whatever its damage type. That makes it one of the most wanted amulet prefixes, and a magic amulet with it is a starting base people buy for their own finish. It is also rare enough that rolling it by hand means thousands of clicks: a job worth automating.

Where the mod rolls

| Prefix | Line | Item level | Weight | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Exalter's | +1 to Level of all Skill Gems | 75 | 50 | | Vulcanist's, Rimedweller's, Stormbrewer's, Behemoth's, Provocateur's | +1 to Level of all Fire / Cold / Lightning / Physical / Chaos Skill Gems | 75 | 200 each |

  • The generic +1 has a quarter of the weight of each damage-type +1. Expect to see the damage-type versions far more often.
  • All of them are prefixes. A magic amulet has one prefix, so it holds one of them. A rare can carry the generic +1 and a damage-type +1 together.
  • Below item level 75, none of them can roll.

Pick the item level and base

Decide the item level by what else goes on the amulet, not by the +1 alone. The +1 needs only 75, and every higher level unlocks more competing modifiers, so a lower level hits it a little sooner. Exiled Bench's estimate (the same Craft of Exile weights its This craft line uses) for the generic +1 alone:

| Item level | Alterations only | Alt + Aug | | --- | --- | --- | | 75 | about 2,220 | about 1,570 Alterations + 460 Augmentations | | 86 | about 2,510 | about 1,770 Alterations + 520 Augmentations |

These are averages from the game's weights, not a promise. Real runs land well above and below them.

The difference is modest, and the finished amulet usually matters more. Several top tiers need a higher level: single resistances 84, all elemental resistances and all attributes 85, a single attribute, attack speed or damage over time multiplier 82. If you or your buyer will want those, start at 84–86 and accept the extra Alterations. A level of 75–83 suits an amulet whose other mods don't need top tiers.

The base is about the implicit. Examples: Onyx Amulet (all attributes), Citrine, Turquoise or Agate Amulet (two attributes), Marble Amulet (life regeneration) and Seaglass Amulet (faster start of energy shield recharge). Pick for your build, or for the buyer you have in mind. See choosing crafting bases.

An amulet's anointment is an enchantment, so Alterations don't change it.

Roll the prefix

  1. Start from a magic amulet of item level 75 or more. Use a Transmutation on a normal one.
  2. Alteration until Exalter's appears.
  3. If the prefix lands alone, the suffix is still open. An Augmentation adds one: a useful suffix makes a better sale, but any suffix closes the slot.
  4. Stop and decide what the amulet is for (below).

What to do with a hit

  • Sell it as a base. Check current trade listings for your exact base, implicit and suffix first; we don't quote prices because they move every league.
  • Imprint it. Before you Regal, an imprint from the Bestiary lets you return to this magic state if the Regal or later Exalts go wrong. Fractured items can't be imprinted. See imprints and elevated mods.
  • Finish it yourself. Regal, then Exalt or bench-craft the rest, or lock one side with metacrafting.

Automating it with Exiled Bench

On the app's Items page:

  1. Choose Amulet, Magic and Alt + Aug. Use Single for one amulet, or Stash for a batch, with item size 1 × 1.
  2. In Target mods → Mod DB, filter to Amulet and add +1 to Level of all Skill Gems. A damage-type +1 does not stop the run: they are different modifiers.
  3. Set Item level to 75 or higher. The filter checks the level only, so look at the base yourself.
  4. Augment → Until a hit keeps a lone +1 prefix with its suffix open. Always fills the suffix too.
  5. This craft shows the average Alterations and Augmentations for your target and item level, and their worth at current prices. Set a Safety limit, Arm, and press your start key.

For an automatic rare stage, choose From my stash and put a different acceptable mod in After the target → Bonus mod → Step 2. Imprint first if the magic amulet is worth protecting: the app can't imprint for you. The multi-currency setup explains calibration, caps and destructive resets.

Tips

  • Batch the bases. One amulet can take thousands of Alterations. A stash tab of amulets lets the app keep rolling without you swapping items.
  • Don't reset a keeper. Move each hit out of the batch before the next run, so a later reset can't roll it away.
  • Want one damage type? Its +1 is four times more common than the generic one. Target that line instead if your build only uses one type.
  • Caster on a budget? A +1 spell gems wand is a different, cheaper target.
